The most challenging part during the first term was to be successful in the Accounting course. There was a lot of new terminology, the topic was absolutely new for me and there was a tone of new material to learn and understand. I had not enough time to practice and started to fail too fast and to give up.
The whole term I was very stressed about the fact that I needed more time, which I did not have. And once we had a project period I had no choice except to free all my time only for Accounting. I worked very hard the whole week, I finished all assignments for other courses before due dates and finally was able to practice a lot of time and days with this challenging subject.
Now looking back I see that I made something impossible for me - possible. After a whole week of hard work and full concentration on Accounting, re-watching all the videos and practicing the quizzes I started to understand this subject almost fluently and I am very proud of myself that I achieved this goal.
I might say, I was ready for a low mark in this subject, I was sure I won't be able to succeed in it... And to my surprise, with all this pressure, with multiple assignments for other courses, I somehow succeed even in this one.
Especially thanks to my instructor Victor Sze. After each quiz he motivated us by saying: "Who did it well - just continue, you know what you are doing. Who did not succeed - just practice more, it is not a time to give up". It was so motivating, I think 90% of my success is Victor's optimism and his motivational words addressing us to try, to practice, to find the way to study and never to give up, even if we failed.
Additional great point during his classes is the recommendation to ask questions and to ask for help till the topic is not "Crystal Clear". I followed this advice, I will keep it for all my life. Thank you, dear Victor Sze!!!
