C# Assignment 6 was a real challenge. What I learned?

During term 2 the biggest challenge for me was C# Assignment 6. It was the first time I had the feeling that I had no idea what to do and how to continue. We had 3 weeks to work on it, I already lost two weeks and had no idea how to finish this assignment. There were too many not working parts, and I was already too disappointed to be able to figure it out alone. I looked like the girl in the image for this post lost and upset.

In this situation it is very difficult to find the way to continue. I am happy Damien was my instructor this term. His words are always supporting and were the only way for me to get out of this frustrating situation. Damien is always supportive, reminds us to ask questions and explains to us that most of our problems can be solved in 15 minutes. During one of the classes Damien reminded us again that he is always available: "Even after the class I am still here, I am still with you"; and we should ask for help if something is not clear. I was surprised to hear that my solution exists, but I don't know why, I didn't even think about doing that.

The next day I met with Damien, he checked my work and gave me a detailed explanation. He already did it during the class, he didn't explain something new, but somehow it helped me to calm down and to be able to finish this work in a few days!!!

What are the lessons I learned?

1. ASK QUESTIONS!
2. ASK for HELP!

Sometimes it is so difficult, but once you do it - your life is much easier! And you don't waste your time on feelings when you are looping into a bad mood deeper and deeper. The most important thing is these kinds of situations help you to find so much support and wonderful people around you and from this point of view these situations are a real treasure!

Damien, thank you for saying good words about my work during our first meeting! You mentioned how perfectly it was done and organized! You did my day! To hear these words from you was a great achievement for me.

Thank you for the music before classes! Thank you for making funny backgrounds, it really helps to focus on a positive mood which is very important during such a difficult program!!! I will be missing your classes, your support, and motivational stories!

Thank you for this wonderful period in my life. I learned a lot from you from professional aspects: good, organized code, strong basic knowledge of OO Programming. I wasn't your student in term 1, but still with the help of your videos I could benefit from learning this material directly from you! Thank you for this opportunity!

Additionally, to professional knowledge, you helped me to get out of my comfort zone: I joined your team in Inspire Conference, I enjoyed it a lot! It was the first step that helped me to be brave and to join Sprint to Innovate. Sure, I will continue to challenge myself to get out more often from my comfort zone and this is a huge step for me.

Damien, thank you very much! I appreciate all what you did for me! You are a great instructor and wonderful person!
